  • Origin: Florida Native
  • Height: 6’ – 10’
  • Spread:  5’ – 8’
  • Evergreen shrub with small, spiny, leathery leaves clustered toward the tips of stiff branches resulting in a sort of geometric look with small, white, fragrant flowers occurring throughout the year
  • Showy white fruit, no fall color change
  • USDA hardiness zones: 10 through 11
  • Flourishes on well-drained sandy or rocky soils, quite drought tolerant, prefers full sun but will grow in part shade, has a very high salt spray tolerance, moderate soil salt tolerance, great shrub for coastal landscapes
  • Usually not affected by pest
  • Larval host and nectar plant for several species of butterflies
