Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Well-behaved pets on a leash are permitted in The Garden. Pets are encouraged to stay on garden paths and event lawn area. Please pick-up after your pets and keep them away from the plants, flowers and shrubs. Pets are not allowed in the Pavilion. We comply with all ADA requirements and accept service animals as defined by the ADA. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

Q: Is there an admission fee?
A: The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is a donation-based facility. We accept all donations at the front desk. Guests are able to make cash, check, credit or debit donations.

Q: How long does it take to walk through the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens?
A: While everyone’s pace is different, we suggest giving yourself about an hour and a half to journey through the 21 acres, and 18 garden rooms.

Q: What kinds of discounts do you offer?
A: We offer discounts to Members of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens on Gift Shop and Garden Center purchases and select event registrations. We also offer active military discounts on facility rentals.

Q: Is the Port St Lucie Botanical Gardens wheelchair accessible?
A: Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is wheelchair accessible; however, wheelchairs are not provided.

Q: Do you allow outside food in the gardens?
A: Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is picnic friendly. We have several picnic tables throughout The Gardens.  To ensure the grounds are clean and litter free, we request guests place their garbage in trash receptacles.

Q: Do you sell water / snacks?
A: Our Gift Shop provides water and snack food items.

Q: Can I volunteer at the Port St Lucie Botanical Gardens?
A: We offer several volunteer opportunities. For information on volunteering visit our volunteer page.

Q: What is the appropriate attire to wear to the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens?
A: We suggest comfortable shoes and casual attire suitable for a family friendly excursion. Don’t forget your bug spray and sunscreen. Hats are always a good idea!

Q: Do you have activities for children?
A: We have our Discovery Backpacks and scavenger hunt available. There are also specialty scheduled events throughout the year. Visit our events page.

Q: Do you offer daily tours?
A: The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens can accommodate groups between 8-15 people. Group tours must be scheduled through the event department. In addition, smaller groups and families are welcome to pick up a garden map and be instructed how to proceed once checked in at the Front Desk. 


Prohibited Items

At Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, our top priority is to provide a safe and secure environment for our guests, volunteers, and The Gardens. The following items are not permitted in the pavilion or in the gardens:

  • Illegal drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Balloons
  • Glitter or Confetti
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, wheel-heeled sneakers
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Amplified music
  • Drones
  • Glassware of any kind


 Cigarette and e-cigarette designated smoking areas are provided outside of the Pavilion doors.

Photographer Guidelines & Registration

​​Gardens Photography Etiquette

Personal photography is permitted in The Gardens during regular operating hours. Photographers may only carry a small hand-held camera. Additional photography equipment and props must be pre-approved by The Garden Facility Rental Department. Wardrobe changes are not permitted. Areas or pathways within The Gardens may not be obstructed or closed off to other visitors.​​

All professional photographers must hold a FPSLBG Business Membership and possess liability insurance. A Certificate of liability insurance is required and must show the City of Port St. Lucie, Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, and their successors and/or assigns as additional insured. 

All private/commercial photographer sessions must be scheduled in advance with our Facility Rental Department and are $15.00 per session, payable on-site. After-hours sessions are available on the second Monday and third Thursday of each month, from 5 p.m. to sunset. Please email
