  • Soil/PH/Texture: Tolerates a wide variety of humus enriched, well-drained soils from sandy loam to clay loam; roses live best in a pH range of 6.0-7.2 with 6.5 being the ideal for optimum growth and flowering. (pH outside of this range causes loss of nutrients which has a detrimental effect of roses.)

  • Pests/Diseases: roses are bug and disease resistant with a moderate amount of care.
  • Growing Conditions: easy to grow, low maintenance, avoid pruning
  • Characteristics: blooms are a fragrant white blended (sometimes white with pink edges, pink reverse), cluster of flowers, with 1 – 7 petals, appearing in late spring – early summer and bloom repeatedly. The apple-blossom-like 2″ blooms appear in abundance on a spreading plant with rich green, disease resistant foliage and are nearly thorn less.
  • Propagation: by stem and tip cuttings, grafting and budding
  • Wildlife: attracts bees
  • Facts: hybridized and bred by Kleine Lettunich in 1994 from the seedlings of `Francis E. Lester’. She named it for her daughter and the song from The Music Man.
  • Designer Considerations: can be used in a hedge, border, as an accent bush, cut flowers, rosehips and great container plant for the patio.
