The Education Committee of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens offers free activities and programs for children ages 2-8 and their families to inspire the next generation’s respect for and understanding of Florida’s plants, pollinators, and other garden wildlife.
This is a volunteer based committee, all donations help cover the cost of activities to continue supporting our mission. Thank you for your contributions.

Activities
Free to all guest of The Garden, we have created seasonal activities for children to take into The Garden.
- Discover Backpacks- Feathered Friends
– Perfect Pollinators - Scavenger Hunts & Coloring Sheets: located next to the welcome desk.
School & Organizations Visits
Pre-registration is required for field trips. Please contact the committee at Education@pslbg.org. Cost may apply.
- Self Tours – We provide scavenger hunts and your group explores The Garden on their own. Available any date with approval.
- Structured Activity Centers – Student workshops created using Florida Education State Standards. Wednesdays only, 2 hour duration between the hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Little Library
We are thrilled to announce that our Free Little Library is now open, and we’re eager to spread the joy of reading throughout our community! But we can’t do it without your help—we need your generous donations to keep it stocked exclusively with children’s books for readers ages 1–17. If you have any gently used children’s books—we’d love for you to share them!
Your donation will directly inspire and foster a love of reading among the children and teens in our community. You can drop off your book donations at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Garden welcome desk Tuesday through Saturday during operating hours. Thank you for helping us nurture young minds, one book at a time! 🌟
