'Louis-Philippe', Red Blend Tea Rose, Southern Old Rose

  • Introduced in 1834, a lovely ‘Old Rose’ seen frequently in Florida and other Southern states. Produces 2” blooms, cupped and globular in clusters of 26-40.  Foliage is glossy, medium green and bushy with blooms of a pleasing red blend. Disease resistant. Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.

  • Bloom Color: Crimson to dark purple
  • Bloom Time: Prolific blooms in flushes throughout the season
  • Light Needs: Full Sun (at least 5 hours per day) to light shade
  • Pruning Instructions: Blooms on new wood; prune early to promote new growth
  • Soil pH requirements: 5.6 to 6.0 (acidic), 6.1 to 6.5 (mildly acidic)
