Our Mission
Friends' mission is to create and maintain a beautiful, serene sanctuary in the center 
of Port St. Lucie that is environmentally sound and naturally diverse and to provide
educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for all who visit.

 

​​Hours & Directions​

The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., free of charge for personal relaxation and enjoyment.  Beginning April 1, 2023, the gates will be locked and guests must enter The Gardens through the main lobby.  


From I-95: Exit 118 (Gatlin Blvd) to Port St. Lucie Blvd.  Go East on Port St. Lucie Blvd.  Turn right onto Westmoreland Blvd.  Turn right at next traffic light into The Gardens.   From US 1: Go West on Port St. Lucie Blvd to intersection of Westmoreland and Veterans Memorial Pkwy.  Turn left onto Westmoreland Blvd.  Turn right at next traffic light into The Gardens.   From Florida Turnpike: Exit 142 from Turnpike. Turn right onto Port St. Lucie Blvd. Turn right onto Westmoreland Blvd.  Turn right at next traffic light into The Gardens.   Note: Handicap accessible.  Furry Friends are welcomed accompanied by responsible owners.  Please do not allow your pet to relieve themselves in our garden rooms.  Pet stations are located around the gardens for your convenience.

Admission Donations
The Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, Inc. receives no funding from any government agency. Your admission donations help us maintain and grow The Gardens.  We have a suggested donation of $5.00 per person and appreciate any and all monetary support from our valued guests and visitors. 

Membership options are also available which provide exclusive membership gatherings, hands-on how-to seminars, discounts to our gift shop and paid events, and more.

Garden Facts

  • Opened March 2010

  • Size - 21 acres (minus wetlands & mangroves, just over 7.5 acres)
  • Size of Lake - 2 acres
  • Lake depth - 12 feet
  • Size of Pavilion - 4100 sq. ft. & can accommodate up to 375 regular seating and 125 table seating.
  • Amphitheater - Seats 140-160 with additional standing on Pavilion Plaza
  • Sidewalks - 6 feet wide. Length 0.91 miles
  • Park Benches - 13 scattered throughout
  • Picnic tables - 2 within The Gardens
  • Cafe tables on the veranda
  • Parking - 41 paved and 85 stabilized spaces for a total of 126
  • The Gardens is ADA compliant.   We do not have wheelchairs or scooters for rent. You are more than welcome   to bring standard wheelchairs or handicap scooters for guests in need of assistance.

Who Are We​
The Gardens is managed and operated by Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity organization, that was founded to help support the daily operations of The Gardens. Friends volunteers provide hands-on daily oversight of the facility, including staffing to handle the many visitors year round. Please consider becoming a member of Friends. Friends' is a 100% volunteer organization.
